On August 20th, the Offshore Photovoltaic High-Quality Development Seminar, organized by the China Photovoltaic Industry Association (CPIA), was held in Qingdao. Experts and representatives from the offshore photovoltaic field gathered to focus on current issues and demands within the industry, possible cost-reduction paths for offshore photovoltaics, the construction of standard systems, and the integration of offshore photovoltaics with other industries. In-depth discussions and exchanges were conducted on these topics.

Sungrow FPV, as a co-organizer, was invited to attend the event. Dr. Wu Weiwu, Deputy General Manager, delivered a keynote report titled "Key Technologies for Floating Offshore Photovoltaics in Wind and Solar Co-located Sites." He stated, "With the implementation of maritime policies, offshore photovoltaics are entering a significant development phase. Currently, the offshore PV industry is largely in the experimental demonstration stage. To build high-quality offshore photovoltaic power stations, we must directly address the pain points, focus on innovation, and overcome key technologies." Dr. Wu Weiwu pointed out that Sungrow FPV is committed to the development needs of the offshore photovoltaic industry, focusing on pain points such as the structural strength, stability, fatigue resistance, and corrosion resistance of floating systems under wind and wave, sea ice, and other environmental loads. The company concentrates on key areas such as "material selection, structural design, manufacturing, and experimental validation" to develop floating solutions for co-located wind and solar sites.

Based on a reserve of key technologies and the foundation of a standardized system, the design of Sungrow FPV's floating offshore solutions is tailored for extreme marine environments, such as significant wave heights of 5m+, seawater depths of 20m+, sea current speeds of 2m/s+, and extreme wind speeds of 30m/s+. It focuses on the design of structural platform solutions, cable laying plans, anchoring and mooring plans, and anti-corrosion solutions. Demonstration tests are conducted to collect adaptive data, continuously optimizing and upgrading materials and system structures to provide more technical support and accumulated experience for floating offshore photovoltaic projects.

Sungrow FPV embraces the will take this conference as an opportunity to engage in comprehensive and in-depth practical cooperation with the CPIA. They will solidify efforts in collaborative innovation, technology development, and experience sharing within the offshore photovoltaic industry, fully promoting its high-quality development.
