Under the blazing summer sun, southern France offers picturesque views. A floating PV plant developed by Sungrow FPV in the region has recently been grid-connected and started generating power. Illuminated by the strong southern sunlight, the deep-blue floating installation stands out brilliantly—much like a one-of-a-kind "postcard" of the local landscape.

These "postcards" have traveled across the oceans, telling the story of Sungrow FPV in Europe.

The floating PV plant has an installed capacity of 5 MW. In terms of system design, the technical team conducted multiple rounds of design reviews tailored to the project environment, thoroughly evaluating factors including O&M convenience, installation simplicity, overall stability, and module compatibility to ensure safe and efficient system operation. The project is expected to generate approximately 5.6 million kWh of electricity annually, reducing CO₂ emissions by about 4,480 tons per year, thereby supporting France in accelerating its energy transition and building its green "soft power."

The project set stringent requirements for product durability, resistance to wind and waves, anchoring safety and design integrity, as well as installation speed and convenience. To meet these demands, Sungrow FPV worked closely with the owner and brought in independent third-party experts to conduct multiple rounds of product and system evaluation. After dozens of intensive review cycles, Sungrow FPV's solutions earned the approval of INNOSEA, a respected authority in marine renewables. This thorough third-party validation further confirmed the robustness and reliability of Sungrow FPV's technology.

The project was built during COVID-19 outbreaks in Europe. Sungrow FPV's in-house production capacity and strong supply chain ensured timely delivery, keeping the project on schedule and meeting all requirements. Close teamwork with clients earned the owner's trust and paved the way for future collaboration.
