Grid Connection Achieved for Bangladesh's First Floating PV Project! With system solutions from Sungrow FPV, this landmark project plays a key role in advancing the nation's energy diversification efforts.

The project is located in Chapainawabganj District, Bangladesh, where Sungrow FPV has developed a 784.8 kW floating PV system on existing fish ponds. With full implementation of Sungrow FPV's solutions, the plant ensures comprehensive operational safety and stability, combining high economic value with proven dependability.
During project construction, Sungrow FPV's engineering team found that standard anchoring designs might obstruct future fish harvesting and pond sediment removal. Following a thorough terrain assessment, the team adopted a three-side bank anchoring scheme, with a customized solution on the south side, to safeguard ongoing fish farming and harvesting operations. Through this site-adapted design approach, Sungrow FPV delivered an optimized system solution that ensures efficient energy output, reliable performance, and easy long-term maintenance.
As Bangladesh enters a new phase of economic growth, the country's appetite for renewable energy is expanding rapidly. With the government targeting 40% renewable energy share by 2041, this project serves as both a significant boost to local clean energy adoption and a replicable model for future initiatives. Moving forward, Sungrow FPV remains committed to the Bangladeshi market, leveraging continuous product innovation, technological advancement, and integrated services to help accelerate the development of the country's floating PV sector.
