On September 12, Sungrow FPV unveiled its latest floating PV system at the 2023 RE+ Solar International Exhibition in the United States. As the largest and most influential clean energy event in North America, this year's exhibition was held from September 12 to 14 in Las Vegas, USA.
At this exhibition, Sungrow FPV showcased its floating PV system solution tailored for the North American market. The system offers three key advantages: flexible compatibility, robust reliability, and easy installation.
Flexible Compatibility: The system features a series-based float design that is c77ompatible with mainstream PV modules available in the North American market. Additionally, the snow load capacity is adjustable within a range of 0.32–1.65 kN/m², making it widely applicable across various regions in North America.
Robust Reliability: The array layout ensures high installed capacity and high power generation output. The maintenance walkways are designed with ergonomic principles, offering enhanced stability and ensuring safe and operable maintenance access.
Easy Installation: System components are further simplified and standardized, increasing installation efficiency by 15% and facilitating easy maintenance.

"With North America pushing forward on energy transition and carbon neutrality, Sungrow FPV is dedicated to helping the region move toward a greener future through advanced technology and dependable solutions," said Wang Lei, Deputy General Manager of Sungrow FPV, during an interview with PV Tech. "From system design to after-sales service, we stay true to our customer-value-centric approach, maintaining rigorous quality standards throughout the entire product lifecycle. Our goal is to ensure long-term system performance, secure end-user value, and offer all-round protection for our customers."
The North American floating PV market has been growing steadily in recent years. Wood Mackenzie predicts that the compound annual growth rate (CAGR) for floating PV installations in the United States will reach 13% over the next decade. Regions with high solar demand but expensive land costs—such as California, Florida, and New Jersey—are driving this growth trend.
。Going forward, Sungrow FPV will build on its innovation-driven competitive edge, always keeping customer value at the forefront. By offering superior products and services, the company aims to support North America's steady journey toward a low-carbon, sustainable future—and provide customers with reliable value that goes beyond what they expect.
