Setting a New Speed Record! Shandong Yanzhou Phase I 250 MW Floating PV Station Achieves Full-Capacity Grid Connection

The 250 MW Phase I floating solar project in Yanzhou, Jining, Shandong, has recently been connected to the grid at full capacity. Developed by Times Green Energy Co., Ltd., the project spans over 6,100 mu(approximately 407 hectares) of water surface in a coal mining subsidence area and features a complete system solution from Sungrow FPV. As the largest floating PV plant in Shandong's coal subsidence zones, it is projected to produce 380 million kWh of clean power each year, cutting CO₂ emissions by around 165,700 tons annually.


Coal mining subsidence zones present complex underwater conditions, characterized by irregular depressions and ridges, with some sections still actively subsiding and prone to ongoing settlement and collapse—this makes mooring design extremely demanding. By analyzing the specific conditions of the subsidence area and drawing on geological survey data, Sungrow FPV deployed a stress distribution control system to mitigate stress concentration at anchor points caused by uneven subsidence, adopting a "one-mine, one-plan" approach for tailored anchoring solutions. Surface deformation also requires high adaptability from the floating PV system. To meet this challenge, Sungrow FPV utilized high-strength, corrosion-resistant materials that offer excellent resistance to extrusion and deformation, safeguarding the station's reliable operation over the long term.


As the single-phase floating PV project with the largest capacity and shortest construction timeline in Shandong Province, Sungrow FPV remained consistently focused on customer value throughout the construction process.
