The 90 MW floating PV project at Yuandian No.1 Well has recently been connected to the grid at full capacity. Developed by Huaibei Mining and built by CSCEC Zhonghuan, the project utilizes Sungrow FPV's complete system solutions. Once operational, it is projected to produce 92.83 million kWh of green power each year, equivalent to saving around 27,800 tons of coal and cutting CO₂ emissions by roughly 56,600 tons annually.

Turning Mining Grounds into Green Spaces – Balancing Ecology and Economy
As the solar sector evolves, the "floating PV + coal mining subsidence" model has given new life to abandoned water surfaces in mining zones. By combining "solar panels on the water and ecological recovery beneath," this project delivers a win-win outcome for the environment and the economy, setting a benchmark for subsidence area restoration.
One Site, One Strategy – Custom-Designed Floating PV Solutions
Coal mining subsidence zones are characterized by complex underwater topography with many gullies, unpredictability, hidden risks, and even ongoing subsidence hazards. These conditions make floating PV system optimization, equipment reliability, and maintenance accessibility particularly demanding. To address these challenges, Sungrow FPV worked closely with the customer, analyzing site-specific data on underwater terrain and subsidence stability. The team also visited the site, interviewed local residents to track historical water area changes, and held extensive discussions with design institutes and seasoned experts. By integrating topographical insights with technical expertise, Sungrow FPV delivered a tailored system solution that ensures the floating PV plant's safe and stable operation.
Going forward, Sungrow FPV will remain committed to technological excellence and innovation as its core drivers, providing customers with enhanced services and contributing fresh energy to the sustainable, low-carbon evolution of the solar sector.
