The 2024 Thailand Renewable Energy Conference & Exhibition took place in Bangkok from July 3 to 5, where Sungrow FPV showcased its locally adapted floating PV solutions. Thailand has the highest per capita electricity consumption among ASEAN member states and holds significant renewable energy potential. In response to power shortages and to advance its green transition, the country aims to reach carbon neutrality by 2050 and net-zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2065. Under its latest renewable energy roadmap, the Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand (EGAT) has announced plans to expand the share of floating solar power in the national energy mix.
