Recently, Sungrow FPV was invited to attend the Solarplaza Floating PV Europe Summit. Yu Jun, the head of the System Solutions Department for Europe and the Americas, shared the company's experience in applying floating PV technology to mining areas.

As a full-scenario expert in floating PV technology, Sungrow FPV continues to lead the industry in cumulative installed capacity for mining area systems. With extensive experience in various water quality, topography, and geological conditions, the company can help mines transition from traditional energy sources to green power bases. The topic received a strong response from the audience, with clients bringing specific project proposals for discussion. Both parties engaged in in-depth exchanges on key technologies for designing floating PV systems in mine pits.

Yu Jun stated, "To apply mining area project experience to Europe, it must be adapted to local conditions with appropriate adjustments." During the pre-construction phase, precise surveying is conducted to gather trends in geological changes. A 3D model is used to visualize the terrain, enabling dynamic optimization of anchoring solutions, which improves accuracy and safety while reducing adjustment costs during later construction stages. In the construction phase, digital tools are deployed in collaboration with clients to provide real-time data on anchor block coordinates, elevation, and tilt angles, allowing for dynamic correction to ensure strict compliance with design specifications. During the operation phase, a smart monitoring system combined with regular inspections enables the timely identification of potential risks and the implementation of targeted measures, significantly enhancing operational efficiency and accuracy. Additionally, he emphasized that technical solutions must be closely integrated with environmental impact assessments to ensure successful EIA approval.

Europe is actively taking measures to achieve sustainable development for abandoned, under-development, and prospective mining sites. According to research by Fraunhofer ISE, mine pit waters in Germany alone have a development potential of 2.5 GW. Looking ahead, Sungrow FPV will collaborate with partners to drive the local energy transition.
