On July 9–10, Solar&Storage Live Vietnam was held in Ho Chi Minh. In response to the challenges posed by irregular water body shapes and high-velocity water flow environments, Sungrow FPV innovatively introduced an integrated solution combining "Customized Array Design + Anti-Erosion Anchoring System."



Customized Array Design Increases Installed Capacity by 10%

For irregular water bodies, standardized arrays struggle to utilize the surface efficiently. Sungrow FPV adopts customized array designs tailored to local conditions, maximizing the use of available water areas. Compared to standard layout solutions, this approach increases installed capacity by over 10%, significantly boosting power generation revenue.


Overcoming Anchoring Design Challenges, Enhancing Safety and Efficiency

To address the anchoring challenges of customized arrays, the technical team employed a dual-verification approach combining "Wind-Wave-Current Coupled Simulation Analysis + Experimental Validation." By integrating real-world data with dynamic load simulations, the team was able to design more precise anchoring points, ensuring safety while improving construction efficiency, enabling customers to start generating power and earning revenue sooner.


300,000 Fatigue Tests and Reinforced Design for High-Velocity ConditionsIn high-velocity water environments, traditional floating PV systems face two major challenges: frequent water impacts can easily cause connection failures, and continuous erosion weakens the load-bearing capacity of the anchoring foundation. To tackle these issues, the R&D team conducted high-velocity towing tests and, based on the experimental data, reinforced key components. They also completed 300,000 fatigue tests, far exceeding the industry standard of 100,000 cycles. Combined with CFD simulation to optimize the anchoring solution, the use of anti-erosion anchoring structure design significantly enhances system reliability.

 

The Vietnamese government plans to increase the share of renewable energy to 30% by 2030. Sungrow FPV will continue to provide highly reliable solutions to meet the diverse application needs of customers and deliver long-term value to its partners.
